What to Know for Before Your Wax:
Use of certain products can cause skin to lift or scab when waxed. Please discontinue use of products containing chemical exfoliants on the areas that will be waxed one week prior to your waxing appointment. Some examples are: AHA’s, Avage/Tazorac, Benzoyl Peroxide, BHA’s, Differin, Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Retin-A, Retinol and Salicylic Acid. Feel free to gently manually exfoliate the area you are having waxed up to two days before your wax appointment.
Avoid having chemical peels or microdermabrasion one week prior to your waxing appointment.
Make your appointment at least 4 weeks out from any laser treatments you have had in the area that is to be waxed.
If you have been on Accutane within the last year, it is not advised for you to receive waxing services.
If you have broken skin in the area that is to be waxed, you should allow the skin to heal before you receive waxing services.
Please allow body hair to grow for ~3 weeks. Hair should be about 1/4 inch in length.
Avoid indoor or outdoor tanning the day before and day of your wax appointment.
Please moisturizer your skin up until the day of your appointment. On the day of your appointment, please avoid using any lotions or oils on the area that is to be waxed.
Please let us know in the notes section while booking your appointment if you are on any antibiotics, prescription acne medications or have any questions about any preexisting conditions or products you are using.
What to Know for After Your Wax:
Avoid applying makeup, cosmetics or highly fragranced products to the waxed area for 24 hours after your wax.Ā This includes, perfume, scented body lotions, anti-perspirants, etc.
Avoid tanning, hot tubs and saunas for 48 hours after your wax.
Feel free to gently exfoliate 48 hours after your wax. This can help prevent ingrown hairs.
