Amy is a nutritionist and the founder of Based Wellness. She has a Master of Science degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences where she graduated with honors. Amy also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo.

Adamant that health and wellness should be straightforward and accessible, Amy is also the co-founder of a not-for-profit, Haven Community Garden, that provides fresh, nutritious produce, nutrition education and access to green space. Through this initiative and other work in the community, she is dedicated to advancing health equity and food justice, addressing the social and environmental factors that shape people’s ability to thrive. Her work in grants and program management bridges the gap between individual wellness and systemic change that support lasting health and well being.

A proud momma and lifelong resident of Upstate New York, Amy enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending quality time with family and friends, and being on the water. In her spare time, she also loves traveling, volunteering in her community, and taking on home renovation projects. Amy’s personal and professional life reflects her dedication to health, community, and the joy of nurturing meaningful connections.

Genevieve of Glo By Genevieve is an esthetician who specializes in personalized makeup application, luxury brow design, spray tans, and body waxing. She enjoys performing eye opening lash treatments both with keratin and silk extensions. She says, “Training and coaching my clients to recreate their looks at home and keep their skin care up is the best part of my job!” When she is not working, you can find Genevieve shopping at HomeGoods, watching makeup tutorials, drinking red wine and taking her kids on outdoor adventures to the beach and woods. Jacqueline and her business Lighten Up Massage, LLC bring a well-rounded and compassionate approach to wellness at Based Wellness. Combining her expertise as a licensed massage therapist and physical therapist assistant, Jacqueline helps clients achieve both relaxation and recovery from injuries. Certified in cupping therapy since 2023, she incorporates this specialized technique to enhance healing, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension. Jacqueline’s goal is always to empower her clients to reach their full potential, whether that’s through injury recovery or overall well-being. When she is not working, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs. Moka Yoga was founded by Morne Cilliers + Katelyn Cusimano. They bring a wealth of knowledge, calming presence and deep love to all of their offerings.

Morne has a passion for teaching people how yoga and breathwork can enhance and change their lives. He has taught throughout Asia, including: Korea, India, and in Cape Town, South Africa. Morne is a 500-Hour certified yoga teacher, a sound therapy teacher and a breathwork teacher. Morne is an adventurer at heart who loves learning new things, being in nature and spending time with his dog.

Katelyn is an Upstate native who just returned home after almost a decade abroad. After completing her 200-Hour Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India (the yoga capital of the world) she started teaching while traveling in South Africa, Namibia, South Korea and India. In February of 2020, she returned to Rishikesh to start her 300-Hour Teacher Training. She hopes to honor her Indian teachers by being a vessel to spread their wisdom and teachings. Katelyn is happiest when her hands or her toes are in the earth. She continues to study yoga therapy, philosophy, and anatomy in hopes that the things she learns can help others find relief and happiness.

Shauna is an esthetician who favors a more holistic approach when it comes to skincare, specializing in facial massage techniques such as gua sha, manual lymphatic drainage, and connective tissue manipulation. Being able to help others love and accept the skin they’re in, whilst creating a space of healing and relaxation is the motivating force behind what she does. Outside of work, Shauna enjoys hanging out in local coffee shops, trying out new recipes, and endlessly annoying her family with her terrible dancing and singing.

Sana is an esthetician who takes a personalized approach to skincare, tailoring each treatment to meet the unique needs of her clients. Specializing in acne treatment, anti-aging, and hydrating the skin, she is dedicated to helping clients achieve a radiant, youthful complexion. Her passion lies in empowering others to feel confident and comfortable. Sana says, “I love building meaningful connections with my clients, educating them on effective skincare routines, and witnessing their transformations.” Her work is driven by wanting to enhance people’s self-care and wellness routines.
