Yoga + Sound Baths

We are so excited that our team from Moka Yoga will now be providing yoga and sound baths at Based Wellness. Moka Yoga believes in keeping things simple, practical and clear for their students and clients. After having trained in India and having taught in various countries, Morne and Katelyn have landed in Upstate, New York where they are bringing sound baths, yoga and chakra healing to our Camillus, NY office! They have a love of working with both individuals + groups to share what they have learned in an effort to help people look within themselves to realize that our bodies know what they are meant to do, they just need to be listened to.

Yoga + Sound Services Menu

Individual Sound Bath $80 (60 Minutes) – Throughout this immersive sound experience, you will lie between all seven metal bowls. Each bowl has a sound that corresponds to one of the chakras. Each frequency reverberates through your body and meets the chakra tuned to the same frequency, causing it to vibrate. Balance is being brought to each chakra, strengthening the whole energy pathway.

Yin Yoga $50 (Individual) / $30 (Per Person Group of 2) / $20 (Per Person Group of 3-5) – Yin is a restorative practice focusing on the deep connective tissue of the body – joints, ligaments, bones and deep fascia. It is a passive practice in which we hold poses for 3 – 10 min.The muscles are gently engaged to hold postures without any extra effort in order to stretch out the connective tissues throughout our body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. Making it a meditative and restorative practice.

Yoga Nidra $50 (Individual) / $30 (Per Person Group of 2) / $20 (Per Person Group of 3-5) – Yoga Nidra is a guided relaxation practice. Relaxation is achieved when we are free from muscular, mental and emotional tension. During Yoga Nidra, we train the mind through a series of practices to bring about the desired state of awareness in deep consciousness. In this state, the mind is relaxed and free from sensory stimulation, intellect and logic. Here, the body and the mind can completely relax.

Yoga Nidra has been found to reduce anxiety, stress and improve well-being. Specifically, Yoga Nidra can help reduce the negative thoughts that flood the mind by clearing the mind and allowing positive intentions to flourish. It can assist in aiding sleep for those suffering with insomnia or those who struggle with low energy levels throughout the day. The rest you receive in an hour of Yoga Nidra is equated with 4 hours of sleep!
